When we made dunkerton’s rattle & shake

2024 has been a year of highlights, but this has to be one of my personal favourites so far this year.

Ever since I was a little boy I have been fascinated with 1950’s America and everything that goes along with it - the fashion, the cars and of course the music! So, when the opportunity came along to put on a 50’s inspired night at Dunkerton’s (Rattle & Shake), I needed no convincing. In order to make the night as authentic and raucous as possible the ultimate supergroup was needed. Enter Marco & Allesandro Cinelli (The Cinelli Brothers), Alice Armstrong (Vocals), Ben Lee from Cahoots (Vocals & Guitar), Greg Coulson (Hammond & Keys powerhouse) and myself on Bass and backing vocals.

What a night!! Dunkerton’s rattled to the sound of vintage Rock & Roll, Country, Blues and Soul with a sold out crowd. The dance floor came alive as everyone jived to the music of legends like Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Eddie Cochran, Aretha Franklin, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers, and Patsy Cline, to name just a few.

This was such a fun event to produce, from the concept through to the marketing, branding and delivery of the night - the perfect example of our passion for live music and creative thinking. It was the perfect way to bring together some of our favourite musicians from the Dialog roster to celebrate the music that we love, at an incredible venue. We are planning some really exciting events at Dunkerton’s in 2025, maybe we can even squeeze in another raucous night of Rock & Roll! Stay tuned.
